Resources

Use these resources to prepare for your visit to the museum house and for classroom lessons:

In order for our staff at The Ximenez-Fatio House Museum to make your visit as pleasurable and informative as possible, we ask that all tour groups arrive on time.

Quite often we have several tours in one day and we want each visitor to enjoy the whole 1800's life-style experience without being rushed.

On the day of your visit, you will be met by a member of our interpretive staff and divided into groups of approximately 12 or less.

  • Each group will have their own guide, which allows for a more personal tour of the rooms.
  • There must be at least one adult chaperone from the school with each student group.
  • Other adults accompanying the school group can be made up into a tour group.
  • Please refrain from sitting on the furniture or touching the artifacts within the museum. The majority of which are over 150 years old and are quite delicate.

Before entering the museum:

  • Please leave all backpacks, bags, cell phones and cameras in the Visitor Center where they will be secure until the tour is over.
  • No food or drinks are allowed within the museum.
  • Wear walking shoes, no high or spike heals will be permitted.

The tour concludes at the Visitors Center to look at the many relics found on site, including the very rare 17th Century Spanish Cross, and allow a brief opportunity to shop in the gift store.
